|Crest=A cubit arm in bend vested az. charged with five fleurs-de-lis in saltire or, cuffed erm, in the hand a scroll, and thereon an open booh ppr. garnished gold. The arms without the branches in saltire were borne by the family of Chamier previous to the registration of the said arms in the College of Arms, London, on which occasion the branches of palm and cypress were by way of distinction placed on either side of the heart in allusion to the death of Daniel Chamieb, Minister of the Gospel, who was Blain in the bastion of Paillas whilst assisting in the defence of the Protestant city of Montauban against the forces of Louis XIII.
