His descendant William de Beauchamp, of Elmley Castle become in 1268 Earl of Warwick as heir to his mother, Isabel de Mauduit, sister and heiress of William de Mauduit, Earl of Warwick. Thomas de Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, was one of the Founder Knights of the Garter.
