|Info=Phillipps-Treby, Goodamoor, Plympton St. Mary, co. Devon; Thomas Winsloe, Esq., assumed by royal licence 8 Nov., 1798, the surname and arms of Phillipps only. He m. Elizabeth Pomeroy Carpenter, and had a son, Thomas John Phillipps, Esq., of Landue, co. Cornwall, J.P., b. 31 Jan. 1798, m. Caroline, dau. of Paul Treby Treby, Esq., of Goodamoor, and d. 1855, leaving, with other issue, his eldest son, Paul Winsloe Phillipps, Major-Gen. Royal Regt, of Artillery, J.P., b. 1824, who inherited Goodamoor, under the will of his maternal uncle, Paul Ourry Treby, Esq., of Goodamoor, and assumed by royal licence, 1877, the additional surname and arms of Treby.&lt;br /&gt;
