Info about the family:
Holme Pierrepont, co. Nottingham; Baris and Duke of Kingston, extinct 1773; descended from the marriage, temp. Edward I., of Sir Henry Pierrb-font, son of Robbet SE Piebbepokt, a stanch adherent of Henry III. during the baronial wars, with Annura, sister and heir of Lionel db Manvers, of Holme; the representative of the family, temp. Charles I., Robert Pierrepont, Esq., of Holme Pierrepont, was created Earl of Kinfiston in 1628, and, as such, became a distinguished cavalier commander. His lordship's last male descendant, Kveltn Pierrepont, second Bute of Kin'jstni, d. in 1773, when his honours became extinct, and his estates devolved on his nephew, Charles Meadows, Eeq., whoassumed the surname of Pierrepont, and was created Earl Manverx
