Edward Pollen, Esq., eldest son and heir of John Paulyn, Esq., M.P. for Andover, was father of Benjamin Pollen, who inherited, through his mother, the manor of Little Bookham; his dau. and hcircBS d. v.n,n. in 1764, when she bequeathed her estates to her Btcpmother, with remainder to her half-uncle, and then to her cousin, Rev. George Vollen, Rector of Bookhame whose eldest dau m John Peter Boileao, Esq., and whs mother or Rev. George Pollen Boileau, of Little Bookham, who assumed the surname of Pollen upon succeeding his maternal grandfather in 1812
