These arms have been substituted for the former ensigns of the family, viz., Quarterly, 1st and 4th, ar. a lion pass. sa. a bordure indented gu., for Llewelyn Voelorwn, seventh Baron of Main-yn-Meifod; 2nd ar, a lion ramp. sa. armed and langued gu., for Meredith ap Bleddyn, Prince of Powys; 3rd, or, a lion ramp. gu. armed and langued az., for Bleddyn af Cynfyn, King of Powys.
