Clare; descended from Nicholas Wbstby, Esq., of Ennls, son of the first settler of the family in Ireland; he acquired, by his wife, Frances, dau. of John Stepney, Esq., of Durrow, Queen's Co., the estate of High Park, eo. Wlcklow, and was grandfather of Nicholas Westby, Esq., of High Park, M.P. co. Wlcklow for several years, d. unm. in 1800, when he bequeathed the mansion and estate of High Park to his younger brother, Edward Westby. Esq., Master in Chancery, and the representation of the family derolred upon his eldest brother, William Westby, Esq., of Thornhill
