borne by the late Major-Gencral Thomas Coblet, of Coblefka, near Odessa, Russia, Knight of St. George, Knight Grand Cross of St. Anne, whose only surviving child and heir, m. Philip, Marquis Paulucci, of Forli, in Italy. General Coblet was born at Dodbrook, co. Devon, the son of Rev. Benjamin Coblet, of Ide, co. Devon, Rector of Dodbrook, who was lineally descended from John Coblet, of Cobley, in South Moulton, temp. Edward IV.
