Earl of Tyrone, created 1642, attainted. Cohs-Baocoob O'NeilLj eldest son of Cox O'Neill, Prince of Tyrone, renounced the title of O'Neill ; had a re-grant of his lands by patent, dated 1 October, 84 Henry VIII., and was created same day Earl of Tyrone for life, with remainder to his illegitimate son, Mathew O'Neill, called "Fear-doragh," although he had two legitimate sons, Shame a Diahus O'Neill and Pbelih Caoob O'Neill, both of whom left descendant. He d. 1669, when the earldom passed according to the limitation
