Duke of Schomberg and Leinster, extinct 1719; Frederick ScuoMREno, of an ancient and noble family in the Palatinate, came to England with William, Prince of Orange, 1638, and was created a duke by the Prince, when William III., 1689, with remainder to his youngest son. He fell at the Battle of the Boyne. Charles, second duke, d.s.p., and was s. by his elder brother, who had been created, 1691, Duke of Leinster; he d.s.p. tu., when nil his titles became extinct
