Viscount Fermanagh and Earl of Verney, extinct 1791; descended from Sir Ralph Vebnbv, who m. Mab-gabbt, dau. and heir of Sir Robert Whittington, Knt., of Penley, co. Hereford, Sheriff of London 1419; Sir Ralph Vebnbv, M.P. in the Restoration Parliament, was created a bart. 1661; his son. Sir John Vebnet, second bart., was created Viscount Fermanagh 1703; Ralph, second Viscount Fermanagh, was created Earl of Verney 1742; the second earl d.s.p. Hon. Mabgabet Vebnbt, dau. of the first viscount, m. Sir Thomas Cave, third bart. of Stanford, co. Leicester, and her descendant, Sabah Otway-Cave, wife of Henry Otwat, Esq., of Castle Otway, co. Tipperary, inherited, 1839, the Barony of Braye in right of her descent from Elizabeth, dau. of Edmund, first Lord Breiye, and wife of Sir Ralph Vebnev, Knt., of Penley, temp. Henry VII.
