Bramdean House, co. Hants, descended from John Bysshop, Esq., of Burford, co. Oxford, and Tillington Court, co. Hereford, temp. 1497, grandson of John Bysshop, and of Agnes Burquilon, his wife, the neice and heiress of Alice, wife of Malculin de la Mare, who d. 28 June, 1400, seised of part of Kidderminster Manor, co. Worcester. This branch of the family has been settled in the co. of Hants since 1636, and were formerly possessed of the Manor of South Wamborough in that county, and of large estates at Frensham, co. Surrey, and Holway and Inpark, co. Dorset
